A. M. 2963. B.C. 1042. Why
They cried for help, but there was none to save, they cried to the LORD, but he did not answer them.
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early.
They lay crafty plans against thy people; they consult together against thy protected ones.
They say, "Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!"
Yea, they conspire with one accord; against thee they make a covenant--
the tents of Edom and the Ish'maelites, Moab and the Hagrites,
Gebal and Ammon and Am'alek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Be broken, you peoples, and be dismayed; give ear, all you far countries; gird yourselves and be dismayed; gird yourselves and be dismayed.
For he will be delivered to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon;
who by the mouth of our father David, thy servant, didst say by the Holy Spirit, `Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine vain things?
Now the feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called the Passover.
And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to put him to death; for they feared the people.
And they were glad, and engaged to give him money.
For the Son of man goes as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!"
And they began to question one another, which of them it was that would do this.

When they heard this they were enraged, and cried out, "Great is Ar'temis of the Ephesians!"
So the city was filled with the confusion; and they rushed together into the theater, dragging with them Ga'ius and Aristar'chus, Macedo'nians who were Paul's companions in travel.
Paul wished to go in among the crowd, but the disciples would not let him;
some of the A'si-archs also, who were friends of his, sent to him and begged him not to venture into the theater.
Now some cried one thing, some another; for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, `This is the heir; come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.'
But one of them, Ca'iaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all;
you do not understand that it is expedient for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation should not perish."
When they heard this they were enraged and wanted to kill them.
they will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful."
