The boar from the forest ravages it, and all that move in the field feed on it.

the stock which thy right hand planted.

But let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself!

For thus says the LORD: "Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, and raise shouts for the chief of the nations; proclaim, give praise, and say, `The LORD has saved his people, the remnant of Israel.'

For they are thy people and thy heritage, whom thou didst bring out by thy great power and by thy outstretched arm.'

And David said to the Gib'eonites, "What shall I do for you? And how shall I make expiation, that you may bless the heritage of the LORD?"

(for they are thy people, and thy heritage, which thou didst bring out of Egypt, from the midst of the iron furnace).

Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the LORD of hosts is his name.

He chose David his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;

He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arms, he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

`And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will govern my people Israel.'"

and let each survivor, in whatever place he sojourns, be assisted by the men of his place with silver and gold, with goods and with beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem."
