I know, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness; in the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen thy people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to thee.
You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you say, "How have we wearied him?" By saying, "Every one who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them." Or by asking, "Where is the God of justice?"
I know that the LORD maintains the cause of the afflicted, and executes justice for the needy. [ (Psalms 140:14) Surely the righteous shall give thanks to thy name; the upright shall dwell in thy presence. ]
