Then Pharaoh sent, and called Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "I have sinned this time; the LORD is in the right, and I and my people are in the wrong.

Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron in haste, and said, "I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.

Now therefore, forgive my sin, I pray you, only this once, and entreat the LORD your God only to remove this death from me."

And Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.

Then he said, "I have sinned; yet honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD your God."

teach me what I do not see; if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more'?

So he made their days vanish like a breath, and their years in terror.

saying, "I have sinned in betraying innocent blood." They said, "What is that to us? See to it yourself."

And throwing down the pieces of silver in the temple, he departed; and he went and hanged himself.

God said to Balaam, "You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people, for they are blessed."

And the people complained in the hearing of the LORD about their misfortunes; and when the LORD heard it, his anger was kindled, and the fire of the LORD burned among them, and consumed some outlying parts of the camp.

But God was displeased with this thing, and he smote Israel.

lest the LORD see it, and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him.

"For has any one said to God, ` have borne chastisement; I will not offend any more;

teach me what I do not see; if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more'?
